Degree Programs

The Department of Statistics hosts Undergraduate and Graduate Programs. The Undergraduate Program offers a Bachelor in Arts and a Bachelor in Science (with an emphasis in Mathematics or an emphasis in Computer Science). The Graduate Program currently offers the following programs:

Ph.D. in Statistics

The PhD program provides a thorough education in contemporary statistical theory and methodology and computing. It also includes the opportunity for studying a scientific field in which statistics is applied.

Ph.D. in Statistics: Biostatistics Track

This subspecialty builds on a strong and diversified statistics program, and utilizes an environment of highly regarded campus programs in agricultural and environmental sciences, biological sciences, medicine, and veterinary medicine.

M.S. in Statistics

The M.S. degree in Statistics is based on a mixture of theoretical and applied coursework, a comprehensive exam (no Master’s thesis), and a statistical consulting requirement.
